WSDB provides a simple keyword search of Internet Drafts and RFCs.
Its search result shows documents whose title and/or authors contain the keywords.
The result also shows their ancestor and descendant documents in the same row.
WSDB periodically collects the latest RFC, IEN and ID index files and updates its internal database.
When it receives a query, it looks up the database to respond with a table of matched documents.
WSDB consists of the following two scripts.
They are written in Perl6.
1. wsdb-update -- update the WSDB database.
The wsdb-update utility is launched periodically to collect the
latest RFC, IEN and ID index files. If one or more index
files is updated, it updates the WSDB database.
The WSDB database consists of two files in the plain text format;
One contains a table of documents in the order of "Newer to
Older" and the other contains a table of documents in the
order of "Older to Newer."
2. wsdb-cgi -- respond to query with a table of documents.
When the wsdb-cgi utility receives a query, it searches one of
two WSDB database file and responds with a table of documents
whose title or authors list matches the received keywords.
